Gary Locklear disappeared from North Charleston, South Carolina on September 6, 1974, the day before his 16 th birthday.    On September 6, 1974, Gary Locklear went to visit a friend’s house.   He started his walk back home between 10:00PM and 11:00PM down Remount Road.   The last time he was seen was by the friend who he had visited that night.   That friend stated he saw Gary Locklear walk down Remount Road toward a fast food restaurant, stop and look down the street.   The friend then went back into his house.   And Gary Locklear has not been seen since.    Leon and Elsie Locklear, Gary’s parents, denied their son was a runaway.   He left behind his wallet the night he went to visit his friend, as well as his other possessions and he was barefoot.   It was the day before his 16 th birthday and he had a new motorcycle waiting on him at home.   And he had just joined the junior varsity football team at his...

Michael Woodward, age 9, disappeared from Fort Jackson on April 23, 1972.   It was a Sunday.   His father was outside cutting the grass when Michael vanished sometime between 9AM and noon.    I haven’t been able to find much on this case, probably because it took place on a military base.   I do know that Michael’s father was Major Joe Woodward and, at the time, was a staff judge advocate at Fort Jackson meaning he was responsible for providing legal support to the United States Army Training Center and Fort Jackson.    When Michael disappeared a massive search was conducted consisting of 400 soldiers, volunteers on horseback, motorcycles and in jeeps, and three helicopters from the 498 th Medical Unit and the Fort Jackson Aviation Division.   No trace of Michael Woodward has ever been found.    I wasn’t able to find any old newspapers articles pertaining to the search.   However, I was able to find Michael Wo...

Eva Debruhl was born May 25, 1962 and disappeared from her home in Catawba, South Carolina on June 29, 1977 when she was 15 years old.   Her father, Willard, was an auto mechanic.   Her mother, Opal, was a third shift mill worker.     The day that Eva disappeared was hot.   The last time her father, Willard, saw her was when he was leaving the home around 11:00AM to deal with a defective transmission and Eva was mowing the lawn of their home.   His wife, Opal, was asleep as she was a third shift mill worker.   Sometime between 11:00AM and 3:00PM (the time varies as some articles say between 11:00 and 3:00, while other articles state it was around noon) Opal Debruhl noticed her daughter missing. Her flip flops were still in the yard and a Coca-Cola bottle, that had not been there earlier that morning, was in the Debruhl’s driveway.
